Founder, CEO & President
Born in Osaka, Japan, Shizuko discovered the joys of home cooking by watching her mother, where every meal was prepared with care. Inspired by multicultural cuisines, she enjoys the art of creating food that is both delicious and healthy. Shizuko studied at a professional sushi chef institute and obtained wine and sake certifications, deepening her culinary knowledge. Today, she brings these experiences into her home kitchen, crafting beautiful, thoughtful pairings and meals that turn everyday dining into special moments with loved ones.

Co-Founder
Chris is Shizuko’s husband and her greatest supporter, standing closely beside her as she pursues this exciting new dream. Thoughtful and encouraging, Chris is often the first to share her work with others. He delights in exploring the dishes and pairings Shizuko creates, offering honest, constructive feedback she greatly appreciates. Together, Shizuko and Chris work in perfect harmony to share the beauty of Japan and other cultures—through food, travel, and meaningful experiences.
Shizuko’s Mom & Dad
Shizuko’s parents dreamed of living abroad, outside of Japan. Her father pursued a career with a Japanese trading company expanding worldwide, while her mother studied English literature in college. While living abroad, their family kept the tradition of eating at home, with freshly cooked rice always at the center of daily life. Adapting to new languages, cultures, and environments was not always easy, yet her parents created a warm, nurturing home that gave Shizuko and her sister experiences few people have—and for that, Shizuko is deeply grateful.
